Human Resource Management in an Organization
Human Resource Management is the practice of recruiting, hiring, deploying and managing an organization's employees. HRM is often referred to simply as human resources. A company or organization's HR department is usually responsible for creating, putting into effect and overseeing policies governing workers and the relationship of the organization with its employees (Chai, 2020).

Human resources managers oversee the most important component of a successful business – a productive, thriving workforce. This requires viewing people as human assets, not costs to the organization. As with any other asset, a talented workforce can be used strategically to add value to an organization (Bianca, 2019).
Who is an HR professional...?
Human resources and general administration can be merged into a single position that combines employee development with office administration duties. This position is sometimes referred to as human resources administrator. It can serve as a bridge bringing employees and employers together on a range of matters such as job training, health benefits, company policy and compensation, according to the Society for Human Resource Management (Fisher, 2019).
Human resources staff is typically responsible for handling all aspects of an organization's restructuring involving current and future employees. Human resources professionals may provide information, updates and job seeking resources for employees displaced from their jobs due to restructuring. Human resources departments also fulfill staffing recruitment needs including preparing job descriptions and salary ranges, posting and publishing available jobs, screening and interviewing candidates for employment and integrating new staff members into their assigned work areas (Lawson, 2019).
